Start Your Soccer Career Progression Guide

Progress season by season, record visible Overall changes, and delay retirement or scarce-reward spending until the current screen explains the consequence.

Start Your Soccer Career progression and high Overall guide

Track seasons and Overall from the official career description, then treat high-Overall tips, retirement, and restart-career advice as source-labelled until the formula is known. Confirmed Overall facts plus source-labelled advice are shown while the exact formula/calculator is held. The retirement/replay loop follows the official description with no hidden costs claimed.

Progression map

Advance checkpoint by checkpoint

Every stage needs a visible move-on signal.

  1. Stage 1

    1. Finish the starter loop

Choose a coherent position and background, then compare the club's displayed role with salary. Regular minutes, morale, reputation, and health can matter alongside cash.

  2. Stage 2

    2. Verify reported rewards

Try reported codes in Settings and rely on a reward only after the current session accepts it.

  3. Stage 3

    3. Record visible changes

After each season or important choice, note Overall plus any visible morale, reputation, mental, dressing-room, health, or money change before repeating the path.

  4. Stage 4

    4. Check retirement tradeoffs

Read what the current retirement screen says will remain before ending a career and starting again.

Decision basis

Know why the account should advance

Early progression

Public playthroughs begin around age 17 with low Overall, then show Overall rising across seasons. Use each result screen as a checkpoint; the videos demonstrate progression but do not reveal one fixed growth formula.

Mid-game progression

Compare training, media, dressing-room, transfer, and injury decisions by their displayed consequences rather than assuming a hidden best path.

Retirement timing

The official description confirms retirement, record chasing, and replay. One complete public career retires at age 40 and displays a career summary, but that single run does not prove a mandatory retirement age or permanent replay bonus.

Career risks

Check penalties before a long progression push

A season or retirement choice can change the route you take next. Review the penalties and trophies reference before committing to a long session.

If you get stuck

Progress feels slow

Focus on one season and one visible outcome at a time so you can tell which decision actually changed the career.

Too many upgrade choices

Pick the one with immediate payoff and save rare resources for later.

Retirement screen is unclear

Delay retirement until the game clearly explains what stays and what disappears.
